Our Story

While bats remain central to our mission, they are part of a broader group of biodiversity at risk in Ghana. At BATlife Ghana, we are dedicated to conserving not only bats but also other threatened species and the habitats they depend on. By using bats as a key indicator of ecosystem health, we aim to protect a diverse range of biodiversity and ensure the long-term sustainability of Ghana’s natural environments.

BATlife Ghana is dedicated to advancing biodiversity conservation, research, and sustainable management of natural resources particularly bats across Ghana. Through our innovative projects, we safeguard critical habitats and empower local communities with the knowledge and tools needed for effective biodiversity conservation. We foster collaboration among Ghanaian and international students and promote a harmonious coexistence between humans and wildlife, ensuring the survival of Ghana’s unique biodiversity and and ecosystems.
